Asset Finance Specialist (Business Banking)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The primary focus for this pivotal and highly important Asset Finance Sales Specialist (BDM) role, involves the identification, pursuit and generation of new business opportunities across a broad range of asset classes with existing and new to bank clients focusing on the Business Banking market across the South Australian Region. To achieve this you will develop close working relationships with key Business Banking/SME clients and internal stakeholders, gaining a detailed understanding of their business needs in order to provide the right Asset Finance solution so to optimise sales opportunities and the Bank's profitability.
DUTIES:
To be considered for this challenging, yet exciting opportunity you will have;
- Previous experienceand a proven background in Business Development and increasing business in the business, or commercial/corporate banking space or a related financial services business.
- This previous experience will be in a successful sales/business development, relationship management, productand/or client service role.
- Proven experience and expertise in working on 'new to bank' client acquisition ideally.
- It is preferable that you have previous experience in Asset Finance, and sound Asset Finance product knowledge.
- Having existing business relationships in Asset Finance will be highly advantageous.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
To be successful in this role, you will have a great commercial acumen with forward thinking ideas, and great business development skills. You will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to think outside the square and who is a self-motivated self-starter. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent planning, presentation and organisation skills, and you will have an ability to build lasting business relationships. You also have the ability to understand the client's business in order to deliver timely and professional financial solutions in support of business objectives and client's needs. You have strong negotiation skills and will have a real passion and hunger to drive and build new sales, while delivering exceptional customer service within a highly team-orientated environment.
