ASSET MAINTENANCE MANAGER (ELECTRICAL) Job in Cumbria, North West UK

Our client, located at the northern gateway to the Lakes, is the Euorpean home of many household and commercial products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. Our clinet is continually developing and expanding many leading brands.

The factory has undergone significant changes and investment, which includes the installation of two new process plants, to stay at the forefront of a competitive market.

We are looking are looking for an Asset Maintenance Manager (AMM) to join the engineering team.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
• Ensure all electrical maintenance is carried out in accordance with company regulations and is in compliance with quality, food safety hygiene requirements
• Formulate a strategy for the maintenance of electrical distribution systems and panels including functional safety devices
• Act as Electrical and Instruments Duty Holder. Be the first point of contact for all electrical engineering matters
• Optimise the use of external resources to assist in the achievement of factory KPIs
• Assist in the preparation of budgets
• Systematically review plant performance, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Develop and manage agreed improvement, modernisation and upgrade projects and ensure completion to time and budget, ensuring minimal disruption to the production units
• Act as administrator for the Electrical Learning Lounge

You will have a minimum of an HNC in Electrical Engineering and proven experience in managing a team and contractor management experience. You will also have experience of managing safely and ideally possess an intermediate food hygiene qualification. Extensive practical electrical engineering experience is essential.

FMCG experience - particularly food beverage - is preferred but not essential. We're particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have experience of TPM/LEAN.
