Asset Management Associate

The candidate must be a sharp, detail-oriented professional who is eager to use their strong critical thinking skills as part of portfolio of multifamily assets. 

Specifically, on a day-to-day basis, the Associate will be responsible for:
• Perform financial analysis/modeling, including discounted cash flows, asset valuations, complex waterfall calculations, and cost-benefit analysis
• Review legal documents, including leases, loan agreements, and management contracts
• Conduct in-depth market research, including comparative product surveys and demographic analyses
• Developing and creating detailed portfolio and asset level reporting, as well as investment committee memorandum as necessary;
• Assist in oversight of third party service providers, including property managers, brokers, and contractors;
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of asset management database and portfolio metrics.

Requirements:
• Bachelor(s) degree in business, finance or economics from a top university. Real estate concentration or coursework a plus.
• 3-4 years of commercial real estate asset management and underwriting experience with a top-tier developer/owner or advisory firm; multifamily experience preferred
• Interest in social impact investing
• High proficiency in Excel, Argus, underwriting and advanced financial modeling;
• Proven ability to multi-task, understand and grasp new structures and concepts quickly.
• Very organized and excellent time management skills;
• Eagerness to work hard in a team environment;
• Solution oriented with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and add value;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
