Overall Purpose of the position
The Funds Control department's mission is to be the centre of excellence for the administration of JPMorgan Asset Management's proprietary investment products in Luxembourg. It is a multi-disciplinary team whose goal is to manage JPMorgan Asset Management's investment products throughout their life cycle.
Funds Control develops and exercises the fund oversight required from JPMorgan Asset Management as a UCITS 4 Management Company through monitoring of the operational activity on the fund range, management of the service providers panel and ownership of the audit consultancy relationships, including:Monitoring Fund Administration service provision delivered by our key Fund AdministratorsManagement of statutory/regulatory reportingManagement of Financial Statements and Long Form process, Management of Audit/Consultancy/Publication budgetsMonitoring of publication legal requirements (prices, prospectuses, notices etc.), monitoring fund prices deliveryTactical management of vendor relationshipsManagement of NAV error remediation processManagement of operational interaction with the funds' Boards of DirectorsAd-hoc tax impactsJPMorgan Asset Management also acts as contractual Management Company for our Luxembourg SIF products.
Main Responsibilities Duties
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to assist the Funds Control team in maintaining a robust and efficient Funds Control Model, principally oriented to the Nav oversight process (Nav calculation, interactions with fund managers, fund administrators etc.), in particular, the role covers:Ensuring perfect execution of the oversight functions linked to activities performed by our key vendors, ensuring that the delivery of service meets, and where possible, exceeds expectations. Such oversight functions include, but are not limited to:Monitoring and coordinating Monitoring and coordinating the service provided by third parties in relation to financial and regulatory reporting requirements of regulatory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions for funds and Management Companies. Maintaining relationship with the auditors, and reviewing all information for the Board.Preparation and provision of internal reportingThe Fund range is extensive, covering 13 vehicles, 188 active sub-funds, over 1,200 classes priced daily, and entails assets classes from stable Nav money market funds, simple equity and fixed income funds, OTC intensive structures, long-short hedge funds up to open-ended Private Equity fund.
The position offered is a temporary maternity leave replacement from 1st September 2012 until 30 October 2013.
