Job Description
Summary
As Team Lead of EMEA Revenue Planning Analysis (PA) this individual will be responsible for building, enhancing, and implementing strong controls around the revenue process, reporting upon the results, forecasting/budgeting for the future, and providing detailed variance analysis highlighting business drivers.
This person will act both independently and as part of a work-team (Global Investment Management (GIM) Revenue PA) to support GIM Finance. This role includes interaction with a wide range of colleagues such as the Legal Entity Accounting Team, GIM Channel Product CFOs, GIM PA, Asset Management PA (AM PA), and the Profitability Team, where coordination/organization skills and influence will be critical. This person will be relied upon to produce value-added analysis that will help decision-makers understand the underlying dynamics of GIM Revenues.
In addition this person is required to partner with information providers and users of that information in order to ensure that required information is delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, exhibit influence and relationship building skills, possess solid accounting knowledge and process improvement skills, and be highly analytical.
The candidate will also manage an analyst on their team and will need to display strong management skills.
Project management skills are a plus.
Major Responsibilities:Overall oversight of EMEA revenues including estimate, forecast, and plan.Consolidation and calculation of revenue for month-end processes, forecasting, and annual plan.Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of revenue performance i.e. flows, markets, performance, etc.Enhance controls and streamline processes, optimizing efficiency while providing robust insight into the business.As a part of overall GIM Revenue PA, deliver on projects to drive global consistency and capitalize on global synergies.Assist with facilitating the European Flows Process including forecasting and planning.Do "what if" scenario analysis for Markets, Flows and Performance Fees based on underlying performance assumptions.This position reports to the GIM Revenue PA Manager and is an Associate/VP level position.
Qualifications
Qualifications SkillsAccounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or in a subject of a technical nature.Experience within Investment/Asset Management would be beneficial.Relevant/Proven experience of financial analysis.Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of finance and accounting concepts.
Strong financial modeling skills.Technical aptitude - advanced skills in Excel and Hyperion Essbase.
