Our business line Asset Management in Frankfurt am Main is looking for a:
Asset Management - Global Real Estate German Sector Controller - Associate/VP (m/f) Based in Luxembourg, London or Frankfurt
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding of investment structures, mortgage documents, development agreements, partnership agreements, and sale and purchase agreements
- Perform financial due diligence for acquisitions by working with persons within the Real Asset Group, as well as third parties, sellers, JV partners, legal counsel, etc.
- Interact with independent external auditors, tax practitioners, deal and fund level counsel, and external debt providers etc.
- Help in determining and review of valuations in limited partnerships
- Oversight/ review of joint venture partners and third party local accountant
- Oversight of the quarterly accounting and financial reporting process
- Oversight of taxation compliance and issue resolution
- Oversight of external debt compliance and issue resolution
- Ensure that all investments are accounted for in accordance with policies and procedures as well as GAAP
- Identify and resolve any control issues relating to asset management or internal processes
- Review of annual budgets and quarterly variance reports to management
- Review and analyze investment level financial information
- Calculate and maintain performance data for individual assets and for the overall Fund (AIMR, IRRs)
- Oversight and management of staff ensuring that responsibilities and deadlines are adhered to
Professional profile:
- Expertise in German real estate and limited partnerships
- Expertise in German GAAP and IFRS
- Fluent in German and English
- Public accounting background preferably in real estate
- Computer literacy and working knowledge of Excel and Word

- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Teamwork - ability to work in many roles within the team framework
- Organized work habits and solid communication skills
