Asset Management – Middle Office- AVP (contract) recruitment

Overview:

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for middle office related functions for the Aus and international Equity and Fixed Income portfolios.

You will be the key contact point for all matters associated with their outsourced operations and other middle offices across the world, you will ensure the contractual and service level commitments are met and provide monthly KPI reporting to local and regional management team.

In addition, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all daily middle office related functions including trade support and overseeing daily cash/position reporting for all their portfolios across the Australian and International Equity and Fixed Income product ranges.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Daily oversight of outsourced services and internal middle offices in the APAC region using Charles River trading system. Identify daily trade, cash reporting, and security pricing/NAV related exceptions and follow through to resolutions.
• Analyse, agree and update procedures and processes used by internal and external stakeholders for joint processes between service providers
• Review service providers’ middle office related report cards, and prepare monthly reports to management.
• Undertake special local or regional projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
• Resolve a variety of middle office related issues as raised by the business areas in a timely manner.
• Work closely with IT in regards to system testing and process change implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years Asset Management Middle office experience and possess the following:
• Well organised self starter who can manage a range of competing priorities, with desire to follow tasks through to completion within generally tight time frame and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail, superior communication skills due to regular contacts with Front Office stakeholders.
• Ability to take a hands-on and constructive approach to problem-solving. Proven organisation skills. Must have high personal standards.
• Good relationship management skills, focused on improving internal accuracy and committing to internal/external deadlines.
