The European Product Development team is responsible for developing JPMorgan Asset Management's European-domiciled fund ranges which comprise more than ten umbrella structures, more than 200 funds, and 1,000 active share classes, which are registered in 30 countries globally with AUM in excess of $250 billion.
Current product development activity is focused mainly on the Luxembourg SICAVs and FCPs, in both UCITS and non-UCITS (Part II, SIFs) legal frameworks - and with additional local structures in France, Italy and Switzerland.
Key activities of the team include:
Product DevelopmentScope prioritized product ideas which include both new product ideas and enhancements/changes to existing fundsBring new funds to market, manage delivery across all functions within the businessManage delivery of changes to existing funds across all functions within the businessProduct Strategy and ManagementAssess market trends and competitor fund ranges and perform product researchFacilitate cross-functional workshops to identify new product ideas and potential changes to existing fundsDefine product standards, e.g. naming and pricing conventions, share class strategyManage the product policy agenda, e.g. capacity managementMain responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of European Product Development, this is a senior role in a team of thirteen product development and documentation professionals.
The team is looking to increase its capability and capacity in response to the increasing demand for complex product in an increasing range of structures (e.g. SIFs, locally domiciled vehicles outside of Luxembourg) and increasingly important "alternative" asset classes.

Qualifications
Essential experienceExtensive experience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in the development and delivery of investment management products, which should include alternative asset classes (e.g. private equity, hedge funds, other illiquid asset classes), alternative investment structures (e.g. Luxembourg SIFs, Part II funds) and preferably experience of local structures in major European domiciles.Credibility and proven ability to engage with portfolio managers and country and channel heads of distribution to discuss and consider product ideasExpert understanding of the product development lifecycle and proven track record of managing and delivering new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environmentEssential skillsExcellent strategic influencing and interpersonal skills, comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions
