Position Summary

The Asset Servicing group has embarked on a significant and complex multi-year programme to replace multiple heritage platforms and to consolidate onto a single integrated vendor provided system (BANCS). The replacement strategy will be delivered in multiple tranches and will require the operational groups to concurrently support both the heritage and the new systems.

The scope of the role will include defining and delivering operational readiness for the new platform. Team structures will have to be defined, key processes and controls outlined, client impacts assessed, and a training and competencies approach agreed. With over 2,500 clients, holding assets in over 100 markets around the world, ensuring continuous consistency of service during a period of extensive enhancement and restructuring of the Product is high profile within the firm and for our clients. This senior role will be responsible for overseeing changes to the user experience, the transition process to the new operating platform from the perspective of our operations, client service teams and ensuring that J.P. Morgan's control functions are kept informed.     

The scale of the role is significant: J.P. Morgan supports some of the world's largest asset gathers and holds $16.3 trillion of assets on their behalf. Successful execution of the role requires effective communication across all J.P. Morgan functions and stakeholders interacting with the Investor Services Product groups and functions across the globe. Working with the cross functional project team the impact of change on these services needs to be captured and communicated succinctly to ensure continuity of service at the standards clients expect of J.P. Morgan.

Key Responsibilities

•          Define and deliver "Operational Readiness"

•          Map out process flows and define and implement  the operating model

•          Ensure operating model delivers against objectives of a strict control environment delivering efficiencies and client satisfaction

•          Define appropriate metrics to track progress against objectives

•          Develop the appropriate team structures and training programmes necessary to facilitate Go-live

•          Create a broad based communications plan to ensure clarity across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and interested parties

•          Institute appropriate governance forums to track progress and delivery

Skills Experience

•          Previous change management experience of large scale re-engineering projects within securities processing

•          Prior Asset Servicing experience preferable

•          Excellent report writer and summarizer of complex issues/solutions

•          Proven track record of excellent communication skills

•          Director-level knowledge of how to overcome obstacles; negotiate win-win solutions between external and internal clients; and manage relationships and expectations (both ways).

•          Proven self starter, able to prioritise their own and other people's inputs

•          Creative thinker with the consulting skills, ideas, and attitude to be seen as a trusted advisor

•          Ability to motivate and inspire others to change behaviour

•          Strategic and operational insights of the challenges and priorities facing both custodians and their clients
