Brightside Academy is an early care and education provider.  Our purpose is to provide all families access to an excellent early educational experience that prepares their children to be lifelong learners in an ever changing world.

Currently Brightside Academy has over 50 Academies in the States of PA, OH and NY.  On a daily basis Brightside serves over 6,500 children that range in age from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·         Ensure children are supervised at all times by staff.

·         Assist the academy director in the recruitment, hiring, training, development and monitoring of the academy staff to ensure high quality child care services.

·         Accountable for all actions of academy staff.

·         Act as a liaison between the teachers and parents addressing problems and answering questions regarding all aspects of academy operations.

·         Knowledge of children enrolled and in attendance, their room assignment and funding status.

·         Assist the academy director in properly marketing the academy to prospective clients; including promoting the facilities, activities, policies and enrollment procedures.

·         Assist the academy director to ensure that the academy is operating efficiently and in compliance with all Brightside Academy policies and state regulations.

·         Ensure that all required corporate paperwork requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

·         Communicate all relevant information to the academy director with respect to staff, children and parents.

·         Assist the academy director in completing annual evaluations for all assigned academy staff.

·         Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

·         All other duties as assigned.

These responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

·         Enrollment Change Forms

·         Daily Deposit

·         Monthly Attendance

·         Roster Confirmations

·         Co-pay/PVT collection and reconciliations

·         Writing receipts for payments

·         Completing and faxing Cash/Check Receipt log information

·         SAFA signatures from parents

·         CCIS Notification of Absence; calling parents and completing CCIS form

·         Fax Adverse Actions and work with clients to retain funding

·         Eligibility - fielding calls from CCIS or DPA relative to our clients needs

·         New Client Enrollment Packet – All forms stated on checklist

·         Completing Vouchers

·         Head Start attendance and paperwork

·         Payment Arrangement Letters for past due amounts

·         Payroll Deduction Forms for employee children

·         Reporting Imagistic copy counts monthly to IT Department

·         Payroll reporting

·         Reconciling Petty cash.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·         A successful assistant academy director must be able to adequately perform each essential duty, and have the following education and experience:

·         Meet federal as well as individual state requirements (i.e., TB test, physical, First Aid) and maintain credentials for the position (i.e., ongoing training).

·         Must meet one of the following education: (1) Related Degree (Masters, or Bachelors) in Elementary Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child and Family Studies, Social Work, or related field, including Special Education, or Psychology with relevant course work

·         Verifiable 2 years of experience requirement

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

·         Strong organizational skills.

·         Capacity to understand and manage the academy financial duties, as well as operate computer.

·         Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.

·         Demonstrated sensitivity and responsiveness to needs of parents, faculty, and Client.

·         Frequently lift or move weight as in lifting, carrying or holding children and infants of up to 60 lbs.
