Role Overview:
The Assistant Account Manager position is an entry level sales position. The primary role is to support a team of Account Managers whose main responsibilities are to actively contribute to Computerlinks’ revenue and profitability by recruiting, developing and growing an account base of value-added resellers within a given geography. The Assistant Account Manager will cover and perform the base functions of the Account Manager as needed during absences and busy periods. The Assistant Account Manager will respond to customer enquiries regarding orders, provide product quotations/pricing, and generally back up the Account Manager as needed. Success in this role will result in a promotion to the position of Account Manager with your own defined territory.
This position is primarily office based, little or no travel is required. Occasional external meetings/seminars are appropriate but this is not a major aspect of the role.
Skills/Experience required:
- Experience in a customer service/sales role preferably within the IT industry.
- Self-Starter with a hard working and proactive approach.
- Strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
- Capable of learning technical concepts of the product portfolio.
- Have a team player mentality.
- Ability to handle pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Sound business sense, attention to detail, and ability to understand and interact seamlessly with customers.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred (ie.Salesforce.com)
- Competent in Mircrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Education/Training
Bachelors degree but not essential for the otherwise-perfect candidate.
