Assistant Accountant – Alternative Investments recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Primarily involved with a new system which is being implemented
- Daily reconciliation of the trial balance between the old and new system (Opics)
- Daily swap interest accrual verification
- Assigning instructions on new deals
- Posting any manual journals and intercompany journals
- Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
- Miscellaneous
- Preparing monthly projected dividend report and daily collateral positions report
- Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts for head office, and ad hoc tasks
Skills and Experience
- Degree educated ideally in a numerate field
- Part Qualified or Finalist level in CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Minimum 5 years Private Equity Fund Accounting/Admininistration experience in financial services
- Product exposure to equities and equity derivatives
- Strong IT skills and reconciliation experience
- Experience of MS Navision General Ledger, Misys, Opics is a strong advantage
- Intermediate Excel skills – Vlook up, IF statements and macros
Soft skills:
- Analytical with good reconciliation and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and strong attention to detail
