Assistant Accountant
Geraldton Port Authority (GPA) is one of Australia’s busiest regional ports and places the highest emphasis on safety and health in conducting its daily business. In May 2010 GPA’s Safety and Environmental Management Systems achieved AS/NZS 4801:2001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) and AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 (Environment Management) certification. Certification to AS/NZS ISO9001:2008 (Quality) has also been obtained.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 p.a. + Super
Reporting to the Port Accountant the incumbent will be required to provide timely support with general accounting activities including payroll preparation and reporting on assets, earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results.
You must possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Working towards a CPA/CA qualification would be desirable. The incumbent will have good Accounting skills and an exposure to financial analysis. You will also possess a high level of computer competency and excellent people skills.
