Assistant Accountant – Maternity Leave Cover recruitment
Backed by an A+ rated global bank, this quality Fund Manager seeks a highly motivated individual to join the Finance Team on at least a 6 month contract, commencing mid January 2012.
Key tasks include:
- Preparation and invoicing of management fees and performance fees in accordance with client SLA;
- Calculation of client management fee rebates for accrual purposes, and the arrangement of quarterly payments and reinvestments;
- Processing and payment of Accounts Payable invoices on a weekly basis in MYOB;
- Bank reconciliations and petty cash management;
- Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis for management fees and rebates for month-end reporting;
- Liaising with Custodian to ensure accurate processing of cash transactions;
- Liaising with Custodian for Investment Accounting System entries;
- Daily Funds Flow reporting;
- Daily unit pricing checks;
- Supporting the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller and attending to ad hoc internal requests.
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified Accountant and have at least 3-5 years experience working in the same capacity, preferably for a Fund Manager or Custodian. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills and strong Excel and Word abilities are also necessary. Familiarity with MYOB will be an advantage.
