The Opportunity
My client is a top tier private equity firm based in London with offices in Europe. Due to further growth, the firm has a rare vacancy for a trainee accountant in their finance team. Working alongside a qualified accountant, you'll be assisting with the Monthly accounting for Limited Partnerships, Analysing daily cash-flows, providing quarterly reporting to investors, preparing bank reconciliations, management fee calculations, and once you are competent, working on the annual preparation of financial statements for Limited Partnerships – applying both UK US GAAP
Your Profile
This is a very rare opportunity to break into the finance team of a well respected private equity firm in London. As such, the client is looking to meet with candidates who are at the beginning of the ACCA/ACA, (Finalists will not be considered). Likewise, you will have a clear understanding of debits and credits, be able to prepare accounts to trial balance, and have some experience of preparing journals. If you have worked in audit for a brief spell, this will stand you in good stead. Over time, it is envisaged that you will become more involved in the full preparation of accounts as your experience and knowledge base increases. You will be expected to have very strong interpersonal skills, be well presented, and have a very strong record of academic achievement.
