About the Job
An opportunity exists within Hanson for a self-motivated, business-focused individual to fill the role of Assistant Business Analyst. Based at Doncaster you will report to the Regional Business Analyst.

You will be responsible for:
- Analytical support and assistance to the Senior Management team, undertaking analysis and assessments on business / commercial matters
- Contributing to the strategic development of the business and enhancement of the operational activities by providing management with insightful, accurate and timely analyses of financial and operational data, and providing supporting information for recommendations on company growth and performance
- Providing business, market and pricing analysis including cost per unit, gross and net margins, to support the key stakeholders including the Commercial Manager, Regional Business Analyst and Operational Managers, in business strategies and planning
- Preparation and consolidation of quarterly forecast and annual budgets
- Capital expenditure forecasting
- Contractual review and maintenance of property leases and quarry royalty agreements
- Entails Administrative Duties, ie database maintenance
To be successful, you will need the following key skills and capabilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Be self-motivated
- Prepared to put in the extra effort
- Ability to work as part of a team
Exposure to SAP would be particularly advantageous.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess a good understanding of, or have demonstrated ability to learn quickly all aspects of the Concrete and Quarry Industry.
