Assistant Chief Accounting Officer – Arabia recruitment
We are seeking a highly motivated finance professional for the position of Assistant Chief Accounting Officer for the Arabian Hub, which services the GCC and Lebanon.
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, and based in the Dubai Airport Free Zone, the position will assist with the statutory and head office reporting functions for the Arabian Hub entities.
Specific responsibilities will include:
1. Meeting all regulatory and head office deadlines on quarterly and annual reports
2. Liaising with external auditors and ensuring audits are completed on a timely basis
3. Monitoring new/changing accounting and statutory rules and ensuring compliance
4. Tax compliance
Position Requirements
The successful candidate for the position will possess a recognised accounting qualification from a reputable authority and will have spent at least 3 years in a similar role, either within industry, or within a Big 4 audit environment. Prior experience within the insurance industry is desirable.
A strong understanding of tax principles, IFRS and US GAAP are essential for success.
The capability to lead a team, effective communication skills, highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail will be required of the successful candidate.
