Assistant Compliance Officer

 

Under the general supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), the Assistant Compliance Officer shall direct the processes responsible for conducting a systematic review of corporate policies and procedures from a compliance perspective; recommending necessary changes to such policies and procedures; preparing reports and documentation on compliance initiatives; monitoring operational practices to determine where changes could result in improved levels of compliance; as well as the following: Develops and oversees a process to review, track and document compliance activities such as Compliance Hotline calls, EPSS database searches, Conflict of Interest questionnaires, annual Compliance Effectiveness Surveys, etc. Plans and conducts educational sessions for team members and identifies, develops and implements compliance "best practice" protocols. This position is also responsible for integration, database development and report generation from diverse information systems, to create pertinent information and databases.

 

Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three to five years’ experience (advance degree may be used in place of two years’ experience in a responsible and related position (such as hospital or health care related administrations, strategic planning, medical audit, managed care or risk management) or in a discipline requiring clinical and analytical skills required.  A graduate degree in a relevant field or professional certification (e.g. CHC, CIA, CPA, CISA, RN) may substitute for one year of required experience.
