Assistant Controller
Our client located in Birmingham, AL is a long standing company in the community and is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. This is a dynamic environment with great future growth potential this current opportunity is open because of internal promotions. We are looking for someone currently at the Manager level that is ready to take the next step. Duties will include the supervision of financial reporting for both internal and external purposes, guiding and researching the accounting policies for the company and working directly with management on special projects. A qualified candidate will have Big 4/Large Regional public accounting experience and a combination of industry experience would be preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 5 years of related experience
* Big 4 or regional audit experience (either past or current).
* CPA required
* Technical understanding of GAAP and financial accounting
* Outstanding communication skills
