ASSISTANT CONTROLLER Job in Federalsburg 21632, Maryland US
We are a manufacturer, with a nationwide customer base, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our controller is looking toward retirement from full-time duties. To that end, we are seeking an Assistant Controller. Our intention is that the Assistant would eventually move into the Controller’s role.
The person we seek will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with seven, or more, years of experience.
Since our staff is small we need a person that is very hands-on in all phases of general accounting (A/P, A/R, G/L, Inventory Control, Cash Management, Payroll, Month and Year End, etc.).
In addition to a wide Accounting background, we need an individual with a very strong aptitude for systems. We need someone that can look beyond the individual modules in our system and see the big picture.
We require a very strong background in Excel and an understanding of relational databases as many updates to our database are created offline and imported to our system.
