Assistant Controller
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller the incumbent will be responsible for monthly close, financial statement preparation, consolidations and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. This position will manage a team of 15 accountants and will play a key role with Auditors, preparing schedules and responding to audit inquires.
Job Responsibilities:
- All aspects of Accounting Department, including month-end close process, regulatory reporting, compliance with GAAP, accounts payable, and vendor relations
- Will be expected to support many ad hoc reporting requests, analysis and special projects as received from executive team.
- Ensuring the quality, accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial analysis leading to a consolidated monthly reporting package.
- Performing monthly corporate consolidation of domestic and international subsidiaries.
- Act as a key liaison with the Company’s external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit.
- Timely and accurate submission of PL, balance sheet, cash flow and supplemental data
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Master’s degree or CPA, preferred
- 7 – 10 years of accounting experience with 2 (two) years Supervisory/Management experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting and reconcilement practices and procedures
- Working knowledge of accounting/financial systems required
- Must be accurate, detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.
