Assistant Controller Job in Southfield 48034, Michigan Us
Company is an established, international consumer electronics goods distribution company with more than 15 years in the business. Company offers a dynamic, fast-paced working environment. We currently have an opening in our Finance Department for an Assistant Controller.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- All Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Customer Collections
- Record, Report and Analyze Marketing Programs
- Monthly work paper preparation
- Assist with the month-end close; preparation of adjusted trial balance
- Record journal entries in the ledger
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Prepare Internal and External Financial Reports
- Interaction with local CPA firm
- Ad Hoc analyses
Job Requirements:
- 4 year accounting degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in private accounting
- Account reconciliation and month-end close
- Experience with preparation of financial statements
- Experience with financial analyses
- Systems implementation experience
- Extensive MS excel experience
- Top-tier ERP experience, SAP Business One and SAP BPC a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
