ASSISTANT CREMATIONIST
CEMETERY DIVISION
The Town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Cremationist. Works with deceased human beings and cremains, must keep extremely accurate records and handle cremated remains in a dignified and timely manner. Should be able to operate the crematory equipment; such as cremation chambers, processing equipment, cooler, casket lifts, and any other equipment required for the duties assigned. Responsible for collateral duties of the crematory, including, but not limited to maintenance and repair of equipment viewing room services, light housekeeping of the crematory, columbarium (if built in the future), attaching of niche wall and columbarium plates and fronts, urn and supply inventory. All other related work as required.

High school grad or equiv; 3 yrs exp in Crematory operation and maintenance pref, or any equiv combination of ed and exp. Must be computer knowledgeable. Valid MA Registry of Motor Vehicles Class D Drivers License required. Cremation Association of North America (CANA) certification preferred.
Salary $20.1289/hour,
19.5 hours/week.
