Assistant Credit Manager

This is an exciting newly created Credit Manager job, for a growing business based in NW London. You will be joining a well established and successful team, overseeing a team of 8 staff (Credit Controllers and Sales Ledger Assistants).

Key duties will include:

Achieve Credit Management targets set monthly.
Manage the team to ensure that all functions are fulfilled at all times, including all appraisals and annual reviews.
Implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency
Reconcile and control all ledgers on a weekly basis.
Progression of Legal accounts from collection to litigation
Ensure all UK credit limits are in line with the insured credit limits or have been authorised as required.
Manage the collection of direct debits and promptly resolve queries pertaining to the direct debit accounts.
Control the credit limits and payment terms given to maximise sales and minimise the risk.
Assist with the generation of the monthly UK Board Report.
Liaise with the Sales team to reduce the volume of low/no yield customers being created.

Candidate Profile
You will have at least 10+ years experience within the Credit Control environment
Excellent commercial awareness and a good negotiator.
Must have at least 3+ years experience in people management and leading a team within the Credit Control environment.
Must have used MS Excel/Word and ERP or bespoke systems
Dynamic, quick learner, self motivated and customer focused
Outgoing, friendly but firm personality
