Assistant Development Manager
Our client is a privately owned, local developer who owns a large area of land in Greater Vancouver, dedicated to the future development of a mixed use commercial, educational and cultural environment. They are a collaborative team of professionals who are looking to add an additional team member to their development and property division to assist with the growth of the company.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Assistant Development Manager will be responsible for assisting in of the planning and execution of a dynamic urban renewal project to be implemented in the Greater Vancouver area. This position is perfect for an individual who is also interested in developing their career in the direction of property management. Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Supervise design and planning procedures and implement the adaptive reuse of on-site structures
- Research fair market value of existing buildings and establish lease pricing to favorably contribute to companys economic strength
- Develop strategies, promoting the lease of vacant spaces to achieve 100% occupancy
- Coordinate contractors and facilities manager to ensure proper maintenance and repairs in order to retain a pristine environment in each site
- Prepare and submit budget reports to the Board and maintain records in an efficient manner
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with tenants and assisting with tenant requests when necessary
The Candidate:
Applicants for this role must have the following:
- A minimum of 3 years experience retrofitting with a construction, development or architectural firm
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Proven excellent customer service track record
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a time sensitive manner
- A keen interest in cultivating property management skills
