Assistant Director, Business Development (Private Banking) recruitment

You will be part of a dynamic team tasked to grow the network and depth of the private banking players in Singapore. The team’s main objective is to work with players within the private banking sphere – private banks, family offices, external asset managers, trust players, philanthropic service providers – to devise win-win propositions to encourage their expansion in or entry into Singapore. You will also be providing strategic counsel on the anchoring of key private banking-related events/conferences, to raise the profile of Singapore as a private banking hub.  The team works closely with the rest of MAS, to provide industry perspective to policy-making behind issues relating to banking confidentiality, AML/CFT standards, investor protection, etc.  It also works with the rest of Singapore government on the aforementioned, in addition to initiatives to improve Singapore’s attractiveness as a place to work, live and play, especially for high net worth individuals. You will therefore have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of work and partners in the course of your work. You will also be part of core team to steer and support initiatives of Private Banking Industry Group. You will administer the Financial Investor Scheme and support incentive applications.

The job offers the opportunity for you to build up a good knowledge of the latest financial market developments and the structure and strategies of the private banking industry. The job also allows you to develop your analytical, marketing and external engagement skills.

Requirements:

• At least 2 to 4 years’ experience in the banking or financial services industries

• Strong interest in financial sector developments and strategies of financial institutions, especially those relating to the private banking industry

• Interest in meeting and working with financial sector professionals and other arms of the government

• Able to write excellently and provide strategic analysis to financial institution engagements and policy/regulatory developments impacting the private banking industry
