Assistant Director – Corporate Finance Advisory – TMT Team, London recruitment
The Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory advises clients on MA and capital raising transactions. The practice is organised in a matrix structure of industry teams with deep sector expertise and specialist functional teams covering areas such as debt advisory, valuations, quoted lead advisory and special situations. Clients include entrepreneurs, private equity funds and corporates undertaking transactions, typically in the £20m to £200m value range.
We are looking to recruit an experienced individual, responsibilities will include:
- Day to day leadership of client engagements, as the primary client contact
- Production of corporate finance advisory deliverables such as buyers lists, business plans, information memoranda and financial models etc.
- Conducting disposal processes and project managing transactions to completion
- Leading marketing and business development initiatives
The role often involves working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant previous corporate finance experience gained in a bank, boutique, accountancy firm, or a corporate development or private equity role
- A relevant professional qualification (eg. accountant, CFA, solicitor, MBA etc)
- Client facing advisory experience and an understanding of working in a regulated environment
- Enthusiasm for and experience gained across or within the technology, media or telecoms sectors
- Self confidence to be involved in business development activities to initiate and maintain contact with target companies and sustain relationships with private equity investors / lawyers / banks
- Experience of presenting to clients and involvement in pitches to win work
- Negotiation skills in relation to MA and funding scenarios
- Experience of staff management and coaching
- Strong project management and organisational skills
