Assistant Director – Enterprise Market Risk recruitment

A leading banking company, currently seeks an Assistant Director, to be based in London.

The Assistant Director will be responsible for:
-Responsible for ensuring that all market risk in European businesses are monitored and reported.
-Ensure that risk profile of RBCEL is fully understood with respect to risk metrics such as book size, risk sensitivities, Value at Risk, and Stress Testing.
-Review daily pl's - actual and theoretic - validate against known market risk profile and value at risk (backtesting)
-Pro-actively seek to improve process efficiencies, primarily within Enterprise Risk Management.
-ICAAP deliverables for Market Risk
-Promote methodologies for Market Risk Economic Capital and Stress Testing.
-Ensure enterprise risk methodologies are incorporated and communicated to appropriate stakeholders within London, if assessed as appropriate.

As such, the successful Assistant Director will have the following skills and experience:
-Quantitative and/or Economics degree
-Good understanding of fixed income products and markets -quantitative aspects and market practices
-Full understanding of value at risk and stress testing
-Strong IT skills
-People Manager
-Builds strong working relationships with colleagues to leverage knowledge and expertise
-Good technical understanding of market risk methodologies such as Value at Risk, stress testing, derivative counterparty risk exposure.
