The Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba comprises 35 parishes, reaching from the Great Dividing Range in the east, south to the New South Wales Border and west to the Northern Territory and South Australian borders. The Catholic Education Office, Toowoomba, employs more than 1100 staff to support the learning of over 8300 children in 32 schools.
Reporting to the Director, the role ensures a cohesive and integrated model of support is provided to the Catholic Education community. This support will be in harmony with the Vision and Mission having responsibility for aspects including: professional development of teachers; Curriculum; Inclusive Education; Faith and Religious Education.
We anticipate that people interested in this role will be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic education;
- Leadership experience, ideally combining principalship with a senior Catholic education office role;
- Capability of providing leadership at strategic and operational levels;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications.
