ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT - ADVERTISING
This highly collaborative position will partner with digital sales leadership and segment General Manager(s) to define opportunities and make product recommendations that align with and bolster digital advertising revenue. Responsible for assessing new product opportunities and the optimization of existing products to meet advertiser needs. Lead the initial phases of the product development process including product roadmap creation, requirements development and documentation, and usability testing. Provide guidance and input from development to product deployment. Analyze the external marketplace, customers and competitors to identify and recommend the right products/features for consumers and advertisers. Work with Digital Sales Management to identify gaps in current digital product offerings. Work with marketing to design and commission research to fill any knowledge gaps within the segment(s). Provide critical data and information to inform GMs/management on key insights and market opportunities. Work collaboratively with cross-company sales groups to execute against the product roadmap and ensure financial and audience targets are achieved. Other requirements:
Bachelors' degree required with a major in marketing or business is required. MBA a plus. Seven years of product development experience, across a variety of mediums Proven track record of developing and launching financially successful products Three years of direct sales and/or business development experience Prior experience developing business and go-to-market plans Proven results in developing products that achieve audience acquisition and retention Must have direct experience developing and executing strategic project plans Experience with media properties a plus Prefer prior management experience
