Assistant Director recruitment

This position is within the Strategic Risk Analysis team. The group is responsible for addressing
a wide variety of strategic risk issues within AIG, usually at the requests of the Board, the CEO and CRO. The position is a highly visible role, as the final work products are often presented to the Group Risk Committee and the Board. Individual will interface with subject matter experts and senior leadership. Must be strategic, have the ability synthesize information and see the big picture.

The type of strategic risk work that is covered by this team is wide ranging. Examples include design and development of risk reports, risk analysis on transactions, evaluation of regulatory change impacts, facilitation of risk framework development, etc.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and well rounded. The individual should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and can operate with limited guidance. Experience in consulting strongly preferred and familiarity with the insurance industry a plus, but not required.

Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field

6-9+ years of experience in risk management, finance, or insurance functions

Excellent project management skills

Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
