Assistant Economist – Emerging Markets recruitment

You will be working in a dynamic team, focusing on the Emerging Market economies - investing worldwide into fixed income and currencies. You will be equipped  with a wide range of skills in economic analysis, as well as portfolio management, enabling you take responsibility early in your career.

Initial responsibilities

• Working alongside the EM economist assisting with macroeconomic analysis, forecasts and modelling of a wide range of Emerging Markets

• A Focus on data gathering, and maintenance of RGP investment analytics

• Conducting ad-hoc quantitative projects to evolve our investment process and risk management procedures

Qualifications:

It is expected that the ideal candidate will demonstrate all of the following:

• Excellent academic record (expected degree minimum of a 2:1 or European equivalent and a minimum of 340 UCAS points , strong background in macroeconomic analysis/econometrics

• Some direct work experience within a quality financial markets environment, (Emerging Markets and fixed income/currencies highly favoured)

• Well rounded Team player with attention to detail, analytical mind and preferably good knowledge of Excel

• Fluency in one or more foreign languages as well as progress towards CFA qualification would be an advantage
