Assistant Finance Manager – Singapore & Malaysia (AVP level) recruitment

Financial stewardship
Ensure financial integrity and reliability through effective review and approval of accounting entries on a daily basis, monitoring of the month-end closing process and preparation of sets of reporting at an entity level. Act as a back-up and a source of proposal for the CFO.
Accounting production
Review and approve on a daily basis any vouchers and entries prepared by Account Officers with respect to Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable, to ensure that financial data is recorded accurately in accordance with applicable accounting principles and Group standards. Monitor the ageing of both creditor and debtor balances and make sure that accounts receivable delinquencies are minimized. Make sure that all accounting records are properly filed with adequate audit trail.
Define and monitor month-end closing process and timelines. Review the closing adjustments, B/S reconciliations, control the FX revaluation, etc. Monitor fixed asset register and coordinate physical verification annually."
Control of payment process
Maintain static data with respect to vendors (creation, change of bank accounts, etc). Control that the payment instructions are properly recorded, that the authorisation limits are respected and that commercial and staff payments are made in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner with a very limited number of errors. Ensure that bank account reconciliation are done on a monthly basis, and does not show any long or unexplained outstanding items.
Reporting requirements
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounting (Paradigm) and financial accounting (Matisse) to Head-Office, ensure that the deadlines are respected and the quality of the submission is in line with the requirements. Assist in handling and reviewing tax and regulatory filing, preparing and monitoring the annual audit as well as the preparation of Financial statements. Assist the CFO in budget and forecast preparation.
Permanent control framework
Actively participate in coordination with Regional Finance to the implementation on a robust Finance Permanent control set-up in line with the requirement of the Group: risk identification, documentation of procedures on major processes, definition of key controls on risk areas, monitoring of the respect of Group policies and procedures, documentation of the CoA and related control plan as per Group minimum requirements...
Process improvement
In a post-insourcing environment, be source of proposal for the CFO with respect to the adjustement of defined finance related processes inorder to improve efficiency and reliability of the BAU while respecting key principles in terms of segregation of duties.

Key Technical Skills/Knowledge; Competencies:
Business Knowledge/Commercial Acumen:
- Strong accounting / financial background (CPA or equivalent)
- Solid konwledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations ; respect of company group policies, codes of conduct,
- Experience in the area of Asset Management business or financial services on a multi-country scale
