Assistant Finance Manager

Our client is a part of the NHS that requires a Qualified Management Accountant for a 12m contract. This role sits within a Financial Planning and Analysis team and it is preferable that the successful applicant has knowledge of financial and accounting procedures within the NHS as the role requires analysing and interpreting highly complex guidance and data and identifying the key issues. You will provide advice to budget managers regarding their individual budgets and the budget setting process, take responsibility for maintaining budget working papers, controlling and reconciling any in-year budget changes, and analysing variances. You will also assist in developing and implementing accurate forecasting, and work with the Finance Manager to prepare the monthly Income and Expenditure Report and Board reports, as well as monitoring resource and cash limits and allocating resources where appropriate. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to discuss financial queries with non-finance staff.
