South Sydney based Freight Business is currently looking for a new addition to their large finance department. Working for a niche leader with offices, operations and customers across the globe, this is a great job opportunity for an aspiring Assistant Accountant looking for a varied role in Financial Accounting.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role focusing on month end procedures and indepth reconciliations. Specific duties include: assisting with month end financial reporting and analysis; variance analysis; year end audit compliance reporting; FX reporting; multiple bank reconciliations on weekly basis; dealing with foreign currencies; general ledger reconciliation; lodgement of BAS; Payroll Tax and other ad-hoc finance related projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to liaise across the business both Australia and overseas. A strong background in financial accounting is essential, as is Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will also have good exposure to an ERP system and and be customer service focused.
