Assistant Financial Reporting Accountant

A unique job opportunity has arisen for a Part Qualified Accountant to join one of our well established and successful clients based in Glasgow city centre as an Assistant Reporting Accountant.

This role offers the opportunity for a motivated and ambitious part qualified accountant to progress with their qualifications and gain valuable experience working within an international organisation.

The purpose of the role is to support the business by understanding and assisting in the preparation of internal reporting requirements.

Working within a fast paced office environment, your key responsibilities will include:

· Ensuring adherence to all SOX and financial control requirements
· Preparing, validating and submitting the quarterly group return
· Managing the intragroup clearing process
· Assisting with the improvement of the level and quality of information that is provided to the business
· Gathering data for quarterly returns
· Preparation for month end
· Balance sheet reconciliations

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role, be keen to progress with their qualifications and have strong problem solving skills. Additionally, the successful applicant will have strong communication skills and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders confidently.

In addition to this, experience using SAP would be advantageous and strong Excel skills are essential.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, with the view to it being made permanent.
