Ø Specializes in investing in commercial real estate development opportunities through PIA’s five funds, with 31 current investors.

Ø Currently manages a major portion of the real estate allocation of a prominent university endowment fund.
Ø Developer relationships with eleven partners.

PIA plans to hire an accounting professional as Assistant Fund Administrator to aid in fund level accounting; including preparing routine schedules, preparing and making journal entries, calculating investor preferred returns, preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, and preparation of investor capital calls and distributions. The Assistant Fund Administrator works as a critical member of a financial team to ensure top quality customer service and accurate record keeping and is given the opportunity to work with a team of professionals in a challenging and enjoyable environment. Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Fund Administrator include the following:
- Assist the Controller with the preparation of monthly investment interest accruals, monthly investor preferred return accruals, and monthly management fee accruals.
- Assist the Controller in developing Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements.
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with routine SEC Compliance inspections, reviews, and reports.
- Prepare routine notifications to investors of upcoming capital calls and return of capital.
- Calculate fund level performance metrics on a quarterly basis using established procedures.
- Calculate returns on liquidated projects.
- Assist with quarterly fair value accounting.
- Monitor supply status and order supplies as necessary.
- Assist the Controller in audit documentation and preparation.
- Provide matrixed support to other members of our financial team when necessary.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Associates or Bachelors degree with major in business or accounting; or equivalent experience as a Bookkeeper.
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial record keeping.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate on repeated tasks.
- Experience with Excel is mandatory, experience with QuickBooks a plus.
