Assistant Fund Controller recruitment
The main focus of this position will be partnership accounting for external funds, which offers exposure to a variety of investment styles.
Responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance of the General Ledger, journal entries etc.
* Partnership accounting for external funds, which include complex investment vehicles
* Financial Reporting to Limited Partners, including ad hoc reports
* Handling capital calls and distributions
* Working with auditors when needed on a semi-annual basis
The ideal candidate for the private equity firm will have:
* Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with strong GPA and CPA preferred
* At least three years of experience in fund accounting with an investment manager or Big 4 Audit experience
* Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and knowledge of partnership tax
* Attention to detail and focus on critical thinking
* Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
* Excellent Excel skills
