RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare numerous written coverage opinions each month for Claims clients on matters
arising under general liability and automobile insurance policies.
• Provide verbal counsel to Claims clients on a variety of insurance coverage issues.
• Evaluate litigated coverage and EO claims against the Company and work with Claims
clients to determine financial exposure, create a litigation plan, and protect the Company.
• Communicate with senior management team on matters of significance.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 10 years experience with law firm and/or insurance carrier providing coverage
opinions and/or litigating coverage disputes, particularly in the areas of commercial primary and excess casualty insurance.
• Substantial experience in managing insurance disputes and litigation, including the
selection and supervision of outside counsel.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign university or college.
