Job Summary

Assistant General Manager for the Kennedy-Warren Apartments is responsible for performing the basic accounting and collection functions at the property level.  Position is responsible for rent control administration in the Historic Wing as well as all accounts payable and receivable for the entire building. Supervision of front desk and concierge staff includes shift scheduling and performance reviews. Position is also responsible for coordinating the efforts of the KW Club and concierge staff in organizing, planning and administering resident events while controlling expenditure in the process.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Under the direction of the General Manager, assist with the on-site management of The Kennedy-Warren with responsibilities to include:

 

·         Accounts Payable and Receivable: ensure timely processing of both.

·         Building Accounting and Reporting Functions

·         Resident accounts management and delinquency prevention

·         Rent Control Administration

·         Manage Front desk and Concierge staff

·         Compile the monthly accounting notebook

·         Fulfill all accounting deadlines and monthly reports

·         Submit rent roll and turnover report for previous month.

·         Submit hard copy of delinquency list for both wings with notes

·         Prepare end of month reports

·         Sending late notices and compiling the suit list.

·         Handle Move ins and Move outs deposits

 

Experience:  Residential Property Management Experience in a Luxury Environment and working knowledge of Yardi Property Management Software are Required and previous Rent Control Administration a plus. 

 

Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field and or 5 years combined property management experience in a rent controlled environment or luxury residential building.

 

Attendance Standard:

 

It is a requirement of the employee to report to work as scheduled.  Policy and procedures must be followed in reporting tardiness or absence.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

·         Monitor the planning and performance of resident events to ensure cost efficiency.

·         Find resolutions to resident complaints, concerns, and problems.

·         Disseminate resident notices for disruption of services.

·         Assist in establishing and monitoring customer service procedures.

·         Assist with supervising all Kennedy-Warren Staff.

·         Assist with resolving resident complaints and problems.

·         Continually inspect the property and assist in implementing an ongoing maintenance and improvement plan.

·         Assist with minimizing expenses and increasing revenues.

·         Be on call to provide assistance as needed after business hours.
