Assistant Graphic Designer Job in Essex, Southern UK
The Company:
My client, a Law Firm based in Essex is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to work as part of an onsite artwork studio on the amendments and maintenance of all aspects of promotional, direct marketing and advertising material.
The Responsibilities:
- Update pre-designed templates through to finished print ready artwork.
- Responsible for the brand adherence within the studio environment and ensuring that all artwork produced adhered to these brands.
- Must produce high quality of work at all times and ensure deadlines are met wherever necessary, for themselves and all team members.
- Responsible for all artwork across all regional clients that has been individually produced.
- Ensuring each individual job has met brand guidelines at each stage of production.
- To ensure ALL work, produced is to agreed and specific specifications.
- To ensure ALL work produced is to printers design/production specifications.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent high level of Design/Artwork and supporting others within the team to have a good understanding of these brands.
- Working with the Senior Artworker to ensure delivery of best practice and ensuring a seamless service and adherence to agreed SLAs.
· Take responsibility for jobs being completed within the agreed timeframe.
· Ensuring the capturing, monitoring and measuring of individual performance against SLAs.
- Attending regular team meetings to ensure a constant overview of workflow and any operational challenges/issues, and to help drive improvements.
- Building and actively developing good relationships with the marketing teams, and managing their perceptions/expectations
- Create high impact, high quality template design using graphical industry standard software such as Adobe suite of applications.
- Creating and sourcing bespoke design elements where required to meet the needs of a particular template
- Ensuring that standard design templates and tools are followed to deliver consistent artwork to clients
The Candidate:
- 3-5 years experience in an agency environment.
- Be fully proficient in the following software applications: Quark, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent Apple Macintosh background and skills
- Have thorough print/production knowledge.
- Have excellent design housekeeping skills.
