Assistant Investment Strategy desk/Junior Portfolio Manager (m/f), based in Luxembourg recruitment
La Banque Internationale à Luxembourg is the oldest bank of Luxembourg financial centre. Founded in 1856, it was a part of Dexia group until its recent reorganisation.
Important investments confirm la BIL as a centre of reference for the International Wealth Management, with two centres of expertise, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
The job:
The candidate will develop a deep understanding of the needs and interfaces of various departments and the asset management unit . Strong interests in capital markets is key. Furthermore the successful candidate will be able to understand and prioritise the internal requests, deliver by having an excellent knowledge of the daily tasks and by building a personal network within the investment strategy team and other departments.
Objectives:
- Be the anchor point for client requests/private banker requests.
- Discover the various aspects of the services we provide our clients.
- Ensure that offers, presentations are done professionally and delivered in due time; lead the way how investment questions are being answered.
- Grow quickly on specific competencies and as such be able to anticipate and maximize the service delivered.
- Ensure that any requests are answered and dealt with in a structured way.
- Be quickly recognized as a pro-active and dynamic actor within the investment management unit.

Main job responsibilities include:
- Be the anchor point for any internal requests regarding portfolio management.
- Master Power Point , Bloomberg, Excel and be willing to learn other data providers such as Datastream.
- Have a great ease with numbers and charts.
- Ensure the specific client communication and client reporting on portfolio performance and investment strategy t by maximising the use of our proprietary communication tools.
Essential educational background and skills :
- License: BAC +3, from a highly accredited university or graduated from one of the top secretarial schools.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the service industry, interest of financial markets and financial instruments
- Languages: Excellent English and French is a must both orally and in writing (other languages are a plus).
- Efficient in office tools with an emphasis on Powerpoint , Bloomberg, Datastream, Excel….
