Assistant Management Accountant
Our client is a legendary luxury retail brand. They are currently seeking a new Assistant Management Accountant to join their central London based accounting team.
The business has an enviable presence in both the UK and abroad, and has enjoyed some excellent results, including over the last few years, where trading for many other retailers has been tough.
The ideal candidate will be studying towards a professional qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA and will have a strong academic background.
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
* Assistance in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
* Preparation of sales and margins, including analysis of performance against budget and last year
* Liaison with each of the sites to ensure all monthly journals are posted accurately
* Preparation of the Sales Density report at half-year and year-end
* Assisting in the set up and management of pop-up shops including sales reporting
* Assisting the Management Accounts team in preparation of the PL's and the Management pack
* Provide support to line management to complete tasks as requested by the auditors
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are reconciled on a quarterly basis
* Assist Management Accountant in preparation of forecasts/budgets
