ASSISTANT MANAGER – FS AUDIT AND ADVISORY recruitment

My client, one of the world’s leading accountancy firms, is looking for an Assistant Manager within their Financial Services Audit and Advisory team. Their Scottish financial services practice is their largest financial services practice outside London and specialises in the provision of audit and advisory services to the financial services industry. With progression opportunities available, this position would suit a newly qualified or experienced Assistant Manager to progress their career. This position will primarily be located in Edinburgh, however, travel to Glasgow will also be required.
Core Responsibilities:
- You will be involved in the audits of Investment Management, Insurance and/or Banking clients
- Working as part of a larger team supporting the manager/senior manager in audit planning
- Day to day management of field teams including review of audit work and reporting
- Liaison with key client staff and the engagement partner.
- You will also be expected to assist with the technical and business development initiatives within the team
Core Skills:
- The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments
- Exceptional presentation, business writing and professional standards.
Core Requirements:
- ACA/CA qualification (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
- Track record of establishing strong relationships with clients
- Working knowledge of financial reporting and controls.
- Financial sector experience beneficial but not essential.
