Overview:
Assist in styling, administrative, and production workflow functions involved in the Macy's Merchandising Group Photo Studio.
Key Relationships:
MMG: Marketing Communications, Creative, Merchants, Production, Visual, Fashion Research Development, Human Resources
Responsibilities:
- Style mannequin, laydown and still life photo shoots for Macy's Private Brand projects, primarily brand guides
- Work with merchants and communications to coordinate and organize movement of samples in and out of the photo studio
- Attend Brand Guide meetings as needed to learn both merchants concepts and the creative direction of the shoot
- Handle file processing, renaming and archiving of images, working with production and retouching
- Maintain clear ongoing communication with Art Directors, Merchants, and Designers
- Collaborate with studio managers in creating the content for photography
Skills Summary:
- Art or Visual Merchandising education
- Minimum 2 years experience in photo styling and/or visual merchandising
- Strong aesthetic style; ability to style all merchandise groups
- Knowledge of fashion and current trends
- Knowledge of digital photography and imaging a plus
- Independent self-motivated, coupled with ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, diplomatic and resourceful
- Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
