Assistant Manager, Accounts Receivable- Cardiology Associates Job

Cardiology Associates seeks an Assistant Manager for its Accounts Receivable department. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Manager of Accounts Receivable in the management and coordination of accounts receivable department's programs and services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience analyzing and navigating electronic billing systems and be comfortable assisting patients with billing questions and concerns. Prior experience working with Realmed or another medical claims clearinghouse is desired.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; BS or BA preferred
- Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in a health care setting; prior supervisory experience preferred
- 2-3 years of experience with medical group billing and collections
- 2-3 years experience with electronic/billing and claims submission
- Exceptional problem-solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of healthcare and CPT coding regulations
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with oversight of daily operations including collections, cash posting, appeals and correspondence, write-offs, and charge entry processing.
- Completing weekly patient statements
- Assisting the AR Manager with recruitment and training of staff
- Managing and developing employees through effective and timely coaching and counseling
- Supervising facilities and equipment of department
