Assistant Manager – Credit Unit recruitment
My client is looking to hire a highly experienced and knowledge banker with the following skills set.
Lending / Credit Analysis
- An ability to analyse complex lending scenarios, incorporating internal external Bank borrowings across multi product exposures.
- A proven track record/experience in making independent Credit decisions/exercising a significant BAL/CAL and in presentation of cases to a higher level authority.
- An ability to assess and review business recommendations and determine the optimum solution for the Bank incorporating protection of the Banks capital base.
- A clear understanding of all relevant internal lending policies, procedures and knowledge of relevant regulation and insolvency legislation.
- Experience involving workout/debt restructuring case management is deemed an advantage.
Problem Solving
- An ability to appropriately analyse issues, demonstrating the capacity to draw on expert/cross discipline advice and knowledge.
- An ability to conduct quality analysis and thorough evaluation of all available options.
- Experience in the implementation and training of new policies and guidelines in order to maintain the highest standards in professional credit management.
- An ability to review process and procedures and deliver efficiencies.
- Credit Risk
- An ability to proactively influence credit quality by promoting the highest standards of credit professionalism.
- A track record in and understanding of the requirement to monitor compliance, by the business, with credit policy and procedures.
Results Focus
- A record in maintaining an ongoing focus on the delivery of timely, quality results.
- A track record in delivery of specifically agreed goals within a credit environment operating on an independent basis and/or as a member of a broader Credit Unit team.
- A commitment to working, as part of a team, in creating new and stretching challenges for the benefit of the Credit Unit and the wider organisational segment.
- An ability to establish and maintain a direct relationship with the relevant business areas to facilitate engagement on credit applications, in order to provide consistent delivery of Credit approval and solutions
People Management
- An ability to create joint responsibility for personal development and delivery of performance objectives, set challenging goals and monitor performance against those objectives and goals.
- Experience, working with a team, in improving their performance through ongoing assessment, coaching and regular, constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance
- QFA Qualified
- 7-8 years’ experience
- Solid IT skills
