Assistant Manager, Finance Operations (Payment) recruitment
Job Scope:
- Assists in formulating and implementing the work process and control procedures relating to policy related payments, reinsurance, trade confirmation and settlement functions
- Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency within payment and settlement functions
- Responsible for developing and implementing a controlled framework for all policy related payments, reinsurance and trade confirmation/ settlement
- Ensure all transactions are processed timely and accurately and accounted for appropriately
- Act as the administrator for all our transactional banking arrangements including updating of authorized signatories, setting up of new bank accounts, etc
- Document key processes and controls within payment and banking functions and to actively look to improve the workflow and processes with a view of minimizing control weakness whilst improving efficiency and ensuring accuracy of all payment and settlement functions
- Assess the impact of product development on payment and banking functions and to work with the Finance Project team
- Train and develop the team to establish a strong foundation in supporting the complexity and volume of business.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy / Finance
- 3-5 years of finance operational experience preferably gained in an insurance/ financial services or an MNC environment
- Experience of identifying and implementing rigorous operational controls to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of finance operation functions
- Experience in systems implementation/UAT
- Prior experience with IBM AS400 system and CODA accounting system is advantageous
- Strong analytical mind and problem solving skills
- Ability to lead and guide a team
