Assistant Manager – FS Audit

My client, a leading international CA firm are currently looking for qualified Accountants at Assistant Manager Level to join their thriving Financial Services Audit department in Banking, Insurance and Investment Management, based in Glasgow.

As an audit assistant manager you will be expected to in-charge large global organisations, delivering audit engagements from planning through to completion. The role will require proficiency in IFRS, UK GAAP and experience of FSA CASS rules is also preferable. Experience in Internal Audit, Stakeholder Management and excellent experience in report writing is also preferred. You are required to posses well developed supervisory skills including coaching and project management.

You will have your own portfolio of clients with responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team, including other specialists, monitoring budgets and supervising the audit process. This will include planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and project management. Key elements of the role also include supervising and coaching junior members of staff, keeping managers and partners up to date with progress throughout the course of the assignment, preparing reports to senior management and audit committees and helping to identify sales opportunities within your client base.

You must be professionally qualified with a recognised accountancy body, ACA , ACCA or CPA with significant audit experience including practical experience with a Big 4 / Top 10 firm and have sound relevant experience working on global banking of Fund Management audits. You will also hold leadership skills and ability to act as a role model, drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a pressured environment, excellent report writing skills, strong communication and inter-personal skills and sound business acumen.
