Assistant Manager – Loan workout and restructuring recruitment

This is an opportunity for someone who has the desire to take on a challenging project and gain excellent exposure to real estate loan recovery, where you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager to ensure the effective operation of the team on a day to day basis.  The ultimate aim will be to maximise the recovery of your assigned loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist the team Manager to manage an assigned loan portfolio.

• Undertake in depth due diligence to develop best options available to maximise loan recovery and implement as appropriate.

• Prepare and present credit papers to Credit Committee, whilst ensuring that the administration of the loan portfolio put forward best alternative for maximum loan recovery. 

• Continually manage borrower or insolvency practitioners, client relationships and negotiations.

• Co-ordinate the process involving the sale and joint venture work out of Real Estate assets.

• Provide leadership support to team members.

• The successful candidate will have:

• Strong ability to asses credit risk, to write and present land and development credit applications, as well as strong cash flow analysis skills.

• Previous experience of the management of/supporting the management of a portfolio that includes real estate loans is essential.

• Ability to present to the credit committee (in written form and orally) in a succinct and highly professional manner.

• Experience with insolvencies incorporating administration and receivership

• People management experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Excellent negotiation skills and effective presentation / communication skills
